Description

Situated on the oldest street in the centre of Blaye,this renovated 19 century Maison Bourgoise has a warm and friendly ambience.It has beautiful views of the Gironde and the park opposite and an intimate cellar bar, where jazz duos sometimes play.The ferry taking passengers and cars to the medoc(15-20min) is 100 metres away.Two and five day courses to learn about wine are offered,including tastings at the top chateau.A favourite with folk from the Netherlands, each double room on suite has TV,DvD and Satellite. Breakfast is served in the attractive dining room, and usually the manager Leslie is on hand to assist with planning an outing, or simply to talk about the area and it's charm. Furnishings are in traditional French antique style.
