Description
Sainte Alvère is a small village in the Périgord Noir, the Dordogne region. The Périgord is well known for its beautiful scenery, the picturesque villages, wonderful castles, prehistoric sites, delicious food and so much more...
The region is ideal if you are looking for an active holiday. There are endless opportunities for walking, horse-riding and cycling. The clear water of the Dordogne river (within easy reach of Sainte Alvère) is wonderful for swimming and there are lots of places on both the Dordogne and the Vézère where canoes and kayaks can be hired. Or if you prefer to take it easy, you can sunbathe on the pleasant river beaches. There are several golf courses in the neighborhood
