Description

The greater part of the Quercy, within the Lot département, was made into a nature park in 1999. It’s a very special area: a rough, hilly and almost entirely wooded plateau of limestone, through which the river Lot and its contributing streams Célé and Vers, have eroded a deep gorges. Despite its beauty, the Quercy is not overrun by tourists, and even in France it is known as the forgotten district. It is the perfect place for nature lovers. There is a very wide network of footpaths and there are lots possibilities for horse riding. The traditional stone-built barn at Pech Blanc was entirely restored in 2004/2005 to provide 4 bedrooms and a breakfast/dining-room. All the rooms are spacious (23-28 m²), and have central heating, a private bathroom and television. The combination of thick stone walls and modern insulation ensure that the rooms are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. One of the rooms has been adapted for wheelchair users. We are open all year.
