Description

The area is ideal for walkers through the forests. There are two museums in Chateau-Chinon. Septennat museum displaying the world wide presents given to President François Mitterand. The other is a Costume Museum. There is a unique excavation site on Mount Beuvray, approx. 20 kms, of an ancient Celti city. There is also a museum on site depicting life of that time.
There are two lakes, approx. 40 kms. Lake Settons for boating trips,sailing, water skiing and swimming. Lake Panneciere for fishing and no power boating.
