Description

In the direct surroundings of our house in Saint Julien aux Bois are many things to do such as canoeing on the Dordogne, golfing, swimming, walking, cycling, paragliding, horse riding, fishing, playing tennis, riding a hot air balloon etc. etc. But also visiting the summer fairs, the “vide greniers” (the pure French flea market) the many magnificent Romanesque churches, castles, ruins and the many caves are part of the possibilities. Also worth a visit is the Musée du Président Jacques Chirac, situated in Sarran.
The departement de Cantal is only a six minute car ride which makes our house a perfect location for visiting this beautiful region. The picturesque village Salers is absolutely worth a visit and what about the Puy Mary (1787 meters high), the historical route along the castles of the Auvergne and the ride through the rugged volcano area?
